A cooler 2012 vintage meant longer growing season ideal for flavour development. Sourced from the oldest estate vines in the Printhie Winery Block, fermented and then matured in new and one-year-old French and American hogshead barrels and bottled after 15 months. Lifted fruit aromas of bramble and spiced cherry, complemented by background savoury oak, leather and freshly turned earth. The palate has nice richness and weight. Dry but soft and integrated tannins adds to the texture creating a nice umami-ness and weight.

Varietal: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Shiraz
