A signature-style chardonnay that displays a light, bright, straw colour with a green hue - a sign of youth. The aroma is very youthful with citrus and white peach characters and subtle oak. The crisp flavours from the vibrant varietal characters give way to a wine with great mid-palate softness.  The integrated oak adds texture to deliver a fineness that is long and clean.  A complex wine that will deliver with age.

NO. 11 CHARDONNAY 2019

No. 11 Chardonnay

The No. 19 distinguishes itself from others in the region with its fullness of texture and depth of character, mirroring the Sauvignon of the Loire Valley with its dry character.  This Sauvignon Blanc has seen a small time in oak barrel to round out the acid structure, creating a great balance between varietal flavours - lively passionfruit fragrance, nuances of floral, and minerals supported by a back bone of nettles and green capsicum. This is an elegant wine with lovely intensity and weight. Great with food.

NO. 19 SAUVIGNON BLANC 2019

No. 19 Sauvignon Blanc

Lovely golden straw yellow, it has intense aromas of apple, peach, lemon, and green tea. The sweet early palate is fresh and fruity with some attractive lighter honey notes, carrying through to a mid-palate of mouth-watering lemony apple and peach sorbet and a clean green tea finish. A well-managed sweetness that serve as a great apéritif or a light desert-style wine.

Recommended Pairing: Cheese

2018 STICKY TEA RIESLING

Succulent and aromatic with lemon, apple, and orange blossom aromas leading the way, the elegant light-bodied palate following the same path. A refreshingly dry style, the palate is full of ripe citrus, with crisp minerality and a persistent and refined lime/citrus finish.

SINGLE VINEYARD RIESLING

A highly aromatic wine with terrific varietal character and brightness. Fine bright straw colour. Classic varietal aromas of Turkish Delight and golden delicious apple. Ripe and bright with excellent balance, finishing dry. This wine shows a mix of rose water, lychee, and white fruit characters making for a flavoursome young drinker.

Recommended Pairing: Spicy food

SINGLE VINEYARD GEWÜRZTRAMINER

The fruit used for No.89 is from 20 year-old vines that exhibit powerful spices and peppery flavours - a representation of a classic cool area Shiraz. The oak adds complexity, but the intense fruit restrains and harmonises. The flavours are vibrant and follow the aroma of spicy fruit characters - dark cherry, ripe plum, and a hint of clove and nutmeg. There is 1% Viognier co- fermented in this wine and contributes to a very subtle softening of the cool climate spice. Soft fine tannins combine with great length of flavour to give a wine of youth that will repay with cellaring. A very complete and elegant wine.

NO. 89 SHIRAZ 2018

Philip Shaw No. 89 Shiraz

Dominated by Chardonnay, while Pinot Noir adds richness to the palate while contributing a light pink rosé blush. It is a dry, savoury wine with a fine line of acid running from start to finish supported by soft strawberry fruit richness. Extended lees aging enhances texture and weight, producing complexity even while retaining freshness and vibrancy.
